Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology

BSc in Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology Students in the program learn about the structure and function of the eye, refractive errors, ocular diseases, and treatment modalities. They also receive training in ophthalmic technology, which involves the use of diagnostic tools and equipment to measure visual acuity, detect ocular abnormalities, and manage vision problems.

The program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide primary eye care services, including detecting and managing ocular diseases, and providing pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries. He/she performs a wide range of eye-related clinical capacities and help ophthalmologists care for patients by taking narratives, performing different systems and tests, and getting ready patients to see the specialist.

Full-Form Eligibility Duration
BSc in Optometry and Ophthalmic Technolog(BSc OOT) 50% in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. At least 45% of marks in each subjects. Candidates age must be 17 years. 4.5 years
